Out with the old and in with the new!

Hello!
I thought i would put some recent images up to start a fresh!
I read a post months back on the print and pattern blog about a designer called Michelle Romo who completed a project called 25. She did a project everyday, and had a different theme each month to celebrate her 25th year!
Ace idea, i had a further look into this and found quite a few people doing a drawing a day etc, so i thought id give it a go!
I started it on the 1st January 2009 as my new years resolution!(the only one iv'e ever managed to keep!)
I had a look back through them and here a some that i like!Hope you like them too!

Sorry for the side views! I like using this comic book format!

I was going on a printmaking course next week and was looking forward to having ago, and turning some of these into fabric prints etc, but its been cancelled!Boo!
Never mind though, ive brought a couple of books off amazon so will be trying to teach myself!Uhoh!
I'll post some results up on here soon if they turn out ok!

Alternative Fashion Week 2007 . . . . .

I was lucky enough to be part of Alternative Fashion Week 2007, with a stall selling my knickers and also a slot on the catwalk show!
It was a really ace experience, and where i launched Circe's Knicker Draw.I really hope to try and take part next year too.
These are just a few images of the collection i showcased. It was called 'Nino' and based on the film Amelie.
The garment above is a soft bra with a vintage lace skirt which lots of ties which atatch to the back of the bra!
Some cheeky handcuff knickers, and a couple of the lovely models who braved the cold for me!

This is a slip dress made from lots of bias cut pieces and handbeaded around the edges.
More cheeky knickers!

Some old work . . . .

Hey Hey,
I thought I would upload some images of some previous work and sketchbook pages.
Hope you like them.

These are from my Final Collection at university. It was based on Ancient Greek Mythology and i looked at the myths of Medusa and Circe.
Circe was a powerful sourceress who lived on an island with many lions, wolves, tigers and leopards. These creatures had once been men who had not returned Circe's affections!
And this is where the name Circe's Knicker Draw came from too!

Hello!

Hello and welcome to Circe's Knickerland!
My blog for my little lingerie adventure Circe's Knicker Draw!
I hope to be posting new collections and images up soon, as well as little bits and pieces about trying to set up a buisness!exciting stuff!
I've not really been designing or creating for a while now as my 1 year old daughter Aya has been keeping me very busy, but iv'e decided now is the time to crack on and start up again.
And my friend Danielle from Opal Orchid Black convinced me that a blog would be a great place to start, and keep me motivated!
Please feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think, when i eventually get some images up!
bye for now
Rach
